718 Fifth Avenue

New York is beautiful in the Fall! We are here for a wedding this weekend, and I had the opportunity to visit to one of my favorite stores in Manhattan, Harry Winston.

Harry Winston's relentless pursuit of perfection has always inspired me. As an artist and a craftsman, he was wholly committed to creating a superlative experience for his customers.

I believe wedding photography is primarily about creating an experience for our clients and their families. From beginning to end, from sales to shooting, from post-production to album design, we strive to create a superlative experience for our clients. Often, this means sweating the details. Because...in the words of Harry Winston:

"Nothing perfect ever rolled off an assembly line.
Perfectly symmetrical, yes, and perfectly attractive.
But nothing perfect.
Perfect is breathtaking.
Perfect is inimitable.
Perfect comes from staying awake until 2 am deciding whether to tilt a stone one hundredth of an inch this way or that."

If it weren't enough to have exquisite jewelry and a powerful brand, their recent ad campaign, created by Alexander Duckworth's talented team at Point One Percent, is among the best I've seen. The subtle black and white portraits were created by Richard Avedon. Harry Winston was the last advertising campaign Avedon photographed before his death in October 2004.

Here is my favorite of the photographs:-Rachel
